This is the outing that every scout in Troop 30 looks forward to. The Blizzard Bash. First we went to a pool where we swam for almost two hours, then we went to an ice skating rink where we got to ice skate. Lastly we went to Kazoing where there is food, movies, and inflatables. Scouts have the choice to stay up all night or go to sleep though few actually stay awake all night. And if your luck you could even find Ms. Isham asleep 🙂
In November we went to Blue Springs Cavern where we spent the night in a cave. There we went spelunking, and took a very cool boat tour. The next morning we had Arby’s breakfast, then headed out to stay at a campsite where we worked on advancement and just got a chance to relax and hang out.
On the October outing we had the cooking outing. Each patrol competed to make the best meal for our “exotic” guests (Mr. and Mrs. Jones). The panthers won the competition by making, Caesar salad, Italian meatballs, homemade dinner rolls with pork chops, and to top it all of they had pumpkin pie for desert. We also did competitions in which the panthers took the lead once again.
This month we went back to Camp Crooked Creek to participate in the councils 2017 SHOOT-A-PALOOZA!!! It was a ton of fun. We got to shoot paintball, rifle, shotgun, and bb-guns/pellet guns. The golden spatula for this month was best pancakes, and in a rare occurrence, the owls took the cake.
Here is a video of everyone going crazy for whipped cream
On the August outing the scouts got to camp in the OA lodge. On Friday night we went on a flashlight hike, ate cracker barrel, and watched a movie. Then in the morning we ate breakfast, then went on another hike. Later we did team building before we went to the pool to swim. Finally we made our golden spatula dinners (Mexican food) which was a three way tie between the Panthers, Owls and the Bears
