On the October outing we had the cooking outing. Each patrol competed to make the best meal for our “exotic” guests (Mr. and Mrs. Jones). The panthers won the competition by making, Caesar salad, Italian meatballs, homemade dinner rolls with pork chops, and to top it all of they had pumpkin pie for desert. We also did competitions in which the panthers took the lead once again.

This month we went back to Camp Crooked Creek to participate in the councils 2017 SHOOT-A-PALOOZA!!! It was a ton of fun. We got to shoot paintball, rifle, shotgun, and bb-guns/pellet guns. The golden spatula for this month was best pancakes, and in a rare occurrence, the owls took the cake.
Here is a video of everyone going crazy for whipped cream
On the August outing the scouts got to camp in the OA lodge. On Friday night we went on a flashlight hike, ate cracker barrel, and watched a movie. Then in the morning we ate breakfast, then went on another hike. Later we did team building before we went to the pool to swim. Finally we made our golden spatula dinners (mexican food) which was a three way tie between the Panthers, Owls and the Bears
All the scouts that went on the camp out had fun. Some scouts completed merit badges, while other scouts did pottery, and leather working. In pottery scouts made pots, engraved tablets, and other clay objects, and in leather working they made belts, neckerchief sliders, and bracelets. All in all, the scouts had fun and enjoyed the trip.
